In 2023, the Christmas Project supported more than 969 families, including 1,758 kids 18 years old and younger, with food and gifts. We also helped seniors and those living in our local temporary shelters with food assistance. Read about the 100 years of Christmas Project in 2023 on Columbia Community Connection.

Tree of Joy
The Tree of Joy provides new gifts for seniors and kids in need (in foster care) around the county. We welcome business partners and individuals.
In 2023, our business partners included InSitu, Providence Memorial, Copper West, Alpine Veterinary Hospital, Nunamaker Real Estate, Directors Mortgage, and Cascade Acupuncture, . We also had several individuals who helped bring joy to a senior or child.
Participants receive a "gift wish" from a senior or child and then go shopping. Gifts are placed into a festive gift bag and delivered to the organizations we support. In the photo, staff at Hood River Care Center gratefully accept gifts for seniors and others needing skilled nursing at Christmas Tree of Joy 2023.
